Amazing Lemon Ginger Syrup for Relieving Nausea

Nausea and vomiting is something I deal with often because of my autoimmune disease that causes my stomach to be upset often. I have tried several over the counter drug store medicines to relieve these troublesome, yet annoying symptoms of my disease, but none of them was effective.

The only remedy I find effective at treating and reliving my nausea and vomiting symptoms is my lemon ginger syrup.

Alone, lemon and ginger are effective at treating nausea and vomiting well, but I find putting them together in syrup helps rid these two symptoms away fast and well.

Useful Ingredients for Making the Syrup

The ingredients that are useful for making the lemon ginger syrup for nausea and vomiting are two cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice, forth cup of grated fresh ginger root, and a cup of raw organic honey.

I keep these things on hand, but if for some reason, you do not have these ingredients on hand, you can easily find them at your local grocery store.

However, you will want to make sure you get them organic because you do not want to be making a natural remedy that contains pesticides or other harmful chemicals.

Making the Syrup for Nausea and Vomiting

The easiest way I find to make the syrup is to place the lemon juice and ginger into a small pan.

Then, I place the pan on low heat and simmer the two ingredients together until the lemon juice reduces in half and the grated ginger root has infused the lemon juice with its healing nutrients and oils.

After, I remove the infusion from the stove and strain the grated ginger root from the lemon juice.

After, I pour the lemon juice into a clean jar carefully and pour in the honey.

The warmth from the lemon infused ginger liquid will melt the honey, but you can take a spoon and combine the two ingredients together instead if you would like. I always do to help the honey dissolve faster.

After, I have this taste sweet lemon ginger syrup to help ease my nausea and vomiting away.

Now you can leave the syrup out at room temperature or you can decide to place it into the refrigerator.

I prefer my lemon ginger syrup chilled because it tastes better and eases the nausea and vomiting away much better for me.

Either way you decide to store your syrup is up to you because it will not go bad since the honey in it acts as a natural preservative.

Taking the Syrup

As soon as I feel nausea coming on, I go straight to my jar of lemon ginger syrup and take a tablespoon of it.

The lemon and ginger relieve the nausea sensation along with the rolling sensation in my stomach.

The ginger provides this warming comforting sensation to my stomach, soothing it well and calming it right down.

On days, when I am vomiting endlessly, I take two tablespoons every hour until it stops and that helps tremendously.

If you are pregnant, a teaspoon of the syrup can help relieve morning sickness and prevent you from vomiting and will not harm you or the baby.

Motion sickness is another condition I suffer from so I always take the syrup with me when I go on long road trips.

As soon as I feel the motion sickness coming on, I take a tablespoon of the syrup and I am able to continue my road trip in ease.

Precautions

The lemon ginger syrup should not be given to children without a doctor giving the okay to do so.

Those allergic to any of the ingredients in the syrup should not use it as a remedy.

Overall, the lemon ginger syrup is safe to take and I use it often without any side effects at all.

I hope those of you who make and use this remedy will find relief too from your nausea and vomiting.
