Your Personal Cellulite Remedy Treatment Guide

Dimpling fat ripples, you find surrounding the pelvic, abdomen and limbs is a condition known as cellulite or orange peek syndrome.

The condition affects both men and women of all ages for various reasons ranging from hormones to genetic makeup. If you are someone suffering from cellulite one of your biggest questions might just be, “what are the treatments for cellulite?”

There are countless treatments for the condition ranging from home remedies to cosmetic surgeries. Depending on the severity of your cellulite will determine what treatment is best for minimizing the appearance of it.

What exactly is cellulite?

Cellulite may sound like a medical condition, but it is not. Cellulite is fat beneath the skin that accumulates unevenly forming a bumpy appearance that is noticeable from the outer layer of skin upon your body. People of all sizes whether overweight or underweight can develop these unsightly ripples beneath the skin.

Sometimes knowing the causes of why it occurred to begin with can help determine the right treatment to use. Sometimes cellulite occurs because of a poor diet and lack of physical activity.

Other times the cause could be from dehydration or the body simply not distributing evenly throughout the body when it is stored. Hormonal changes and genetic makeup can be reasons for this condition to form as well.

Whatever the causes maybe, most who have the condition are looking for ways to rid it since it does cause some self-image issues.

What are the treatments for cellulite?

The treatments for cellulite are countless. Again, depending on the severity of the condition will help determine which treatment or combination of treatments will work best for you. Some of those treatments are:

  • Liposuction
  • Mesotherapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Spa Treatments
  • Laser Treatments
  • Cellulite Beauty Care Products
  • Exercise

How are the different grades of cellulite determined?

The grade of cellulite you have is determined by a grade classification system. The first grade of cellulite means you have minimal fat ripples appearing underneath the skin.

First grade cellulite is easy to treat using spa treatments such as seaweed wraps, red algae body masks, detoxifying clay masks and deep tissue massages. Homemade beauty recipes that work well for slightly visible cellulite you want to diminish the appearance of are homemade coffee scrubs, coconut massage oils and creams, and green tea baths. Adding in omega fatty acid supplements, collagen supplements and eating a rich diet high in healthy fats and vitamin C, A and E can help minimize the appearance of first grade cellulite too.

The next form of cellulite is second grade, which are ripples of fat under the skin with a loss of elasticity. Treatments commonly useful for treating this grade of cellulite are diet change that consist of lean healthy proteins and fruits and vegetables rich in omega fatty acids and vitamins A, C and E, spa treatments, exercise, massage therapy and laser treatments done by dermatologist. Liposuction treatments are sometimes offered by dermatologist as well for cases of cellulite that form largely in one particular area of the body. Other treatments that work well for minimizing cellulite at this grade are magnetic therapy, electrical stimulation, heat therapy and radial wave therapy.

The worst form of cellulite to have is third grade cellulite. This grade means you can visibly see large rippling fat dimples in various places around the body along with skin sagging. All the above treatment options mentioned in the treatment section of this guide are useful in treating cellulite at this grade.

With all that said, the only way to truly get your cellulite diagnosed properly so you know what treatment options are best for you is to speak and visit with a dermatologist. A dermatologist can examine your body properly and help you choose a treatment that minimizes your cellulite greatly, but it is wise to keep in mind that cellulite has no proven true cure that will rid it permanently away. This is because the causes of cellulite are not fully understood yet and are more theories.

What are some home remedies that can be useful in treating all grades of cellulite?

The home remedies that can be useful in treating all grades of cellulite are countless. This is especially true when expensive cellulite treatments are not affordable, or options you want to use in treating the condition. Some of them are:

Homemade Coffee Body Scrub: To make a homemade coffee body scrub all you need to do is combine three cups of freshly ground coffee grinds with a cup of sugar and a cup of olive oil. The coffee contains caffeine and antioxidants that help nourish, tone and firm up the skin reducing the cellulite’s appearance and the sugar and oil help exfoliate dead skin cells away while hydrating the skin so it has a smoother softer appearance and texture.

Green Tea Bath Soak: To make a green tea bath soak that will nourish and hydrate the skin with antioxidants that help reduce cellulite simply combine six tablespoons of organic green tea leaves with a cup each of baking soda and buttermilk powder and three cups of Epsom salt. Not only will this soak nourish and hydrate the skin, but it will pull toxins from it too. When the skin is well hydrated and purified, the signs of cellulite diminish giving your skin a youthful smoother look and feel.

Drink Herbal Teas: Herbal teas such as green tea and ginkgo Bilbao are two potent home remedies that fight away cellulite. This is because both herbs contain antioxidants and other chemical compounds that help burn fat. Burning fat means, the fatty deposits of cellulite are being eaten up naturally giving your body a smoother leaner appearance. Drinking several cups of these herbal teas each day is affordable and will do more than just rid cellulite away, but they will also help keep your body and mind as a whole healthy and strong by keeping all the systems of the body healthy.

Eat Sea Kelp: It might sound a little fishy, but eating sea kelp is a great home remedy for treating cellulite. Sea kelp contains fat burning nutrients in it. Add it to cuisine dishes or eat it, as it is to receive the benefits from it. Consuming it daily will not only help you fight off cellulite, but it can help balance out hormones too and as you have learned from this guide hormones can be a contributing factor to cellulite.

Apply Cocoa Butter: Another cause of cellulite appearing is dehydrated skin. The best way to hydrate and nourish it is by moisturizing it daily and nightly after a warm bath or shower with cocoa butter cream. Cocoa butter contains antioxidants that fight away signs of aging too. Some of the best places to get cocoa butter if you do not already have it on hand are your local whole food grocery stores.

Bottom Line for Cellulite Treatments

As you can see, there are endless treatments useful for treating any grades of cellulite. Finding the treatment that works best for you may take a bit of time, but once you do find one that provides positive results it is wise to stick with it. After all, you do desire to feel beautiful and confident in your own skin.
