Homemade Aloe and Shea Butter Shaving Cream for Face and Body

Sometimes in the winter time, my skin becomes so dry it hurts to shave my legs.

The best way I have learned to ease my dry skin and help soften it up while getting a nice painless shave is making and using my homemade aloe and shea butter shaving cream.

The ingredients that are needed to make the homemade aloe and shea butter shaving cream are:

  • 1 cup of softened shea butter
  • 1 cup of aloe vera gel
  • 5 drops of vitamin E oil and
  • 10 drops of almond oil.

These natural ingredients can all be found at your local drugstore if you do not already have some of them on hand. You may also use 10 drops of your favorite essential oil in this shaving cream as well if you like scented shaving cream.

I know I don’t because I have sensitive skin that can sometimes become very aggravated by fragrances and essential oils.

How To Make The Homemade Aloe and Shea Butter Shaving Cream

The way you will make the homemade aloe and shea butter shaving cream is by placing the softened shea butter, aloe, vitamin E, and almond oil into a medium mixing bowl.

After that, you take a hand mixer or beater and beat the ingredients together until you get a thick creamy golden colored shaving cream mixture.

It should look like hand turned butter if you need a better description.

Once the homemade aloe and shea butter shaving cream is made, you can scoop it into a plastic container and store it next to your tub.

If the mixture starts to stiffen in the container just beat it up again with your mixer.

Now when you are ready to use the homemade aloe and shea butter shaving cream all you do is get into a warm bath or shower and get your skin wet and warm to help soften up your hairs and skin.

After take a handful of the homemade shaving cream and lather it right onto your legs or the area of skin you are shaving.

Next simply shave your legs or the area you want to shave and rinse off with warm water.

After your skin will feel so soft and hair free and the winter dryness will have gone right away.

You shouldn’t have any nicks or cuts either because this thick rich shaving cream should protect your skin very well while shaving.

However, if you get out of the shower and your legs are still feeling slightly dry, you can actually use this shaving cream as an after shave lotion or cream to help moisturize your skin right up.
