Perfumes have always been wrongly tagged as just fragrances. This is totally wrong. Perfume is the essence of beauty. It has the power to provoke, invoke, incite and excite. There is a kind of mystery and sophistication that goes with the perfume. Its power goes just beyond a bottle with some distilled contents in it.

Perfumes bear the signature of the wearer and the business of smelling good has never been this stiff. The kind of perfumes you wear goes to tell about your personality and taste.

It might tickle your fancy to know that the business of perfumes dates back to ancient times when the earliest perfumeries were instituted with the burning of gums and resins.

As far back as 4,000 years ago, the Mesopotamians were already burning incense as fragrances. This was to be later incorporated by the Chinese, Greeks, Hindus and even the Israelites. As you can see, perfume has gotten a long string of history.

I guess you never thought of this. The ingredients used in making perfumes are very potent in curing some human ailment. For instance, essential oils used by estheticians in facials have healing powers on the skin.

Also, eucalyptus, another component of perfume has healing powers. It is used for treating indigestion and sinuses. Perfumes are highly therapeutic in nature.

The question now is this. Since perfumes have such qualities but there are so many of them out there, which one do you go for?
