Ginger Honey Tea for Relieving Nausea

by Elise Wheeler

When I have an upset belly and do not have any tummy tea, ginger ale, or stomach medicine, I like to make my own homemade ginger honey tea.

It helps calm my belly and get fluids back into me to help hydrate me again, and gets me feeling a whole lot better.

Ingredients Needed

The ingredients you will need to make the ginger honey tea are 1 teaspoon of powder ginger spice, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 cup of boiling water. You will also need a coffee mug and spoon to stir all the ingredients together.

Now if you do not have these ingredients in your kitchen you can usually get them at your local health food or grocery store for under $5.

Making the Tummy Tea

Now the way you make the healing beverage for soothing your upset tummy is by first boiling a cup of water in your microwave or tea kettle. Once 1 cup of water is boiled, pour it directly into your coffee mug.

Then, all you do is add the 1 teaspoon of powder ginger spice and 1 teaspoon of honey into the water and stir it with a spoon so it can dissolve in the water completely.

Next, all you do is sip on the ginger honey tea slowly until it is completely gone. You should notice within a couple minutes of drinking it your upset tummy ache has completely gone away or has at least settled down.

Benefits of the Tea

The reason why this homemade tea works so well on upset tummies is because the ginger works as an anti-inflammatory to help relieve any inflammation in the stomach, and works as a natural pain reliever to help calm and soothe the lining of the stomach.

The honey in this tea helps sweeten up the beverage while the body with B vitamins for energy and acts as a natural coating on the lining of the stomach so the acids in your tummy do not upset it anymore.

The water in the tea simply helps hydrate your body again so you can feel good and function properly again.

End Notes

I do hope this remedy helps soothe your tummy aches and other digestive discomforts right away. I know it has helped me out tons when I was throwing up and cannot run out to my drugstore or grocery store right away to get some tummy medicine and ginger ale.

Oh, and remember before using any remedy to check with your doctor first to make sure it is safe and right for you.
