School is out for the week + it is Kelsey treat time!!
I used a gift card I’ve had FOREVER to pick up one of my FAVORITE sauvignon blancs —->
KIM CRAWFORD. Always so flavorful.
I ran by TJs + picked up salad goodies for dinner —–>
- romaine hearts
- walnuts
- prosciutto
- apple
- goat cheese
Who doesn’t use medical scissors to cut lettuce??
I successfully went to Amelie’s without getting a dessert or something really really deliciously bad for me — I picked up bread only!!
Then smothered it in butter!!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.
I cannot begin to describe how delicious this was.

This large plate was my [not so] brilliant idea to slow Penny down while she ate her dinner — in hopes that she’d be occupied while I ate mine.
Never underestimate a furry food monster. She chowed down in no time.
The salad was delicious. But like Penny I am a food monster + was still hungry!!

OMG, that salad looks so professional! And that bread sounds fabulous. Haha, and I just love your coffee and donut treat. Every girl needs a little Dunkin Donuts once in a while! 
Mmm, I have a bottle of Kim Crawford SauvB in my house right now. I suddenly want to open it very badly . . . at 6am.
And there’s really very little better than a fresh baguette with butter. Veeery little.

You know… one way you can slow the food monster down is to spread a little PB on the bottom of that plate before putting the dog food on it. That way she would stay busy licking up the gooey PB, and it will stick to her mouth, and will buy you at least an extra couple of minutes.
I gave a spoon of PB to each of my dogs last night, and they just kept licking, trying to get it off the roofs of their mouths. Such a fun game to play!
The salad looks great. It has most of my favorite things. Yummy. Medical scissors? That’s totally what I’ve been doing wrong with my lettuce.

Good plan with Penny, but ah well. They do sell bowls with stuff (plastic inserts) for them to eat around. I’ve heard they work.
Hmm, did you like that pumpkin donut? To me it just tasted like another DD glazed, only with a little more cinnamon.. but don’t get me wrong, I def ate it all.
That salad is definitely some art. I bet it tasted spectacular.
If you put a ball or something similar in Penny’s food bowl with her food, it will force her to eat around it and make her slow down while eating. I have a dog that eats fast too and this helps.
