….a new house!
Preferably one with 3 bedrooms + lots of storage.
More on the whole new house thing in a few minutes.
Let’s all take a minute to appreciate the adorableness that is Penny + her stuffed animal friends.
Please note that to Penny her toys are her friends –not foes.
She’s had them both for over 2 years + simply carries them around in her mouth gently + occasionally squeaks them a little.
She also enjoys napping with them as evidenced below.

Freakishly cute.

She also stuffs blankets.
Lots + lots of blankets.

Eric cuts onions like he is Stevie Wonder.
I tried to tell him that onions make you cry when the onion gas enters your nose not eyes.
He doesn’t exactly like to be told what to do + continued to cut the onions while looking like he belonged on a short bus.
So I took a picture.
And now I am “publicly”humiliating him.
Take that non listening onion man.

So we got a new house!
It sleeps three.
It has plenty of storage.
And will keep you warm in Spring + Summer + Fall + Winter.

It’s our new 4 season tent dogg!!

I’ve been hoarding REI gift cards like it is my job –Saving up to get some beautiful boots.
But when the take 30% off one REI brand item sale popped up I knew I had to stop pining over the boots + turn the gift cards in for something we could all enjoy.
P.S. This sale is going on for REI members until december 24th.
And now my $220 boots are coincidentally on sale for 30% off too. I’m not so sure how family fun oriented I would have been had my boots gone on sale before the tent!
God I need a job.

Check out the attic + all of the side storage space.

It’s a good thing we got this tent b/c we’ll more than likely be spending Christmas somewhere in the snow –somewhere in this tent –doing snow type activities.

Welcome to Christmas in Colorado!
Cheers!
Kelsey

ha!
LoL to Kath’s comment.
So,I know the onion cry reflex is supposed to happen through the nose, but I swear to god when I used to wear contacts I could cut onions all day errryday with no tears and now that I’m back to glasses I sob like a little bitch. Ridic. And Rambo has “toys”(that he can fetch by name –dinosaur, crab, elephant, squeekedy fox) and “friends”(my stuffed animals (yeah I’m almost 30,so?) that sit on top of a bookshelf that he will whine at,so I take them down,he loves them up a bit,and then they go back to the bookshelf). One time I retired a stuffed animal friend to turn into a toy,and he had the hardest time grasping it was a toy now. I also take socks with holes in the them and tie a knot in the middle, and he knows those are toys but not the other 150 socks Alex has lying around various parts of the house. Rambo is advanced.
This happens to me too!!
Okay –Rambo sounds wayyyyyyyyyy more brilliant than Penny. Like way more. We’ve been trying to teach Penny “duck”+ “squirrel”forever. Not going to happen.
It was very nice of “Stevie”to stop by and chop onions!! It is so sweet how Penny loves her stuffed animals. We can’t have them in this house. Unfortunately they get sliced and diced, sort of like those onions. LOVE your new home!! Very spacious! Have fun camping and hope it keeps you toasty warm!! Miss you! XOXO
Awesome! I hope that you have a great (and warm) christmas in the snow!!!
Sienna has a toy fish she carries around the house in her mouth when she’s lonely or sad or looking for people and can’t find them. We often find it in new places when we’ve been out for a long time.
Merry Christmas!
