Extremely rare sighting –
E + K dressed up nice + going on a date!
It was a great date. Thanks honey.

This is what a Kelsey Snack looks like.

Thanks to the lovely people at Nasoya I have a few coupons to try out to check out their products.
First on my list to try —EGG ROLL WRAPS
I had no idea how versatile they are —you can use them for SO MANY THINGS!!

For my first experience I went traditional –
Veggie Egg Rolls.
Up on the chopping block–

Chop Chop Chop Chop Chop Chop Chop.
And then chop some more.

Mixed with sprinklings of:
- ground cumin
- ground red pepper
- garlic powder
[no salt or the veggies will start to leak water + get soggy]

In lieu of salt I seasoned the veggies with soy sauce + sauteed them for a couple of minutes.
Not long at all.

Thank G the package came with instructions.
It appears to be instructions on how to fold an envelope.

Step 1 —take the wrapper out of the package

Step 2 —Spoon filling onto wrapper

Step 3 —Wrap bottom of wrapper over stuffing

Step 4 —fold edges in

Step 5 —Wrap that S up

I opted for baking instead of frying.
Q: Can it be done?
A:YES.

Simply rub little dabs of oil on the rolls so the wrappers don’t dry out + the brown nicely.
Bake for 12 MINUTES at 375*

What to dip it in?
I went for a combo of these two.

PERFECTION.
And PRETTY FLIPPING EASY.

I think I met my veggie quota for the day.

So far this semester I have taken FOURTEEN EXAMS in FOUR CLASSES [not quizzes -- exams] + it is only the beginning of November.
I find entertainment in the little things to keep me sane.
I think who ever wrote this study question had a thing for BEAVIS + BUTTHEAD

I’m still catching up on blogs but it looks like everyone had a GREAT time at FOODBUZZ!!
Wish I could have been there. Maybe next year.
Cheers!!
B+B

*insert Butthead laughter here*
That is pretty awesome that Beavis and Butthead made a cameo on your exam!
haha is Penny licking your face? A priceless family pic
I laughed out loud and the Beavis and Butthead reference!
Loved the egg roll recipe. These are something I’ve never attempted but always wanted to. They don’t seem too terribly difficult but extremely worth all of the chopping.
Wow- I love the idea of baked eggrolls. I can’t wait to have an oven (long story…sigh) so I can try these myself.
Hang in there with the school stuff- you can do it!
