Thanksgiving in September

Remember that PESKY LITTLE FLY from the other day?

Well Eric thought since it liked wine so much maybe its friends would like to have a drink too.

Don’t WORRY —This is a watered down bowl of wine from a bottle of bad wine that is going back to TJs —I would NEVER waste perfectly good wine on a fly!!

This is the LAST PARTY you’re going to ever attend.

So basically what it boils down to is flies are pretty smart. They don’t fall for booby trap buckets of wine. They just want the GOOD STUFF —the good stuff being whatever I am drinking.

I recently whipped up a new batch of LAUNDRY DETERGENT.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!

You’ve heard of CHRISTMAS IN JULY but have you ever heard of THANKSGIVING IN SEPTEMBER??

Probably not,because I just invented it,but it is delicious none the less.

How did it come about? I cleaned out my pantry. Not that I don’t ever clean out my pantry —I actually clean it out a lot. And I always look at the STUFFING MIX and say “Man,I need to cook this!!”It was probably expired,I chose not to look at the date.

Today I cooked it.

I added fresh onion + celery to the mix to boost the nutrition levels of the boxed goodness.

Served with collards + mashed potatoes which I also cooked.

Washing collards + cutting collards is intense but oh so worth it!

No THANKSGIVING IN SEPTEMBER would be complete without [probably also expired] GINGERSNAP COOKIES topped with simple lemon icing.

SIMPLE LEMON ICING

• 2 C confectioner sugar
• 2 T lemon juice
• splash of milk

Bulleted!!

The previous picture is ridiculous. Clearly the cookies are a vessel to get icing to my mouth —So more icing was promptly added.

I love September + I love Thanksgiving. I love today.
