I called ERIC on my way home from a meeting the other night + told him I was STARVING so he volunteered to get dinner [grilled chicken salad] started.

I came home to find a variety of pickled items [things ERIC likes to put on his salads] sitting on the counter.

Thanks Honey!!

[In his defense this is not the whole story -- I had to pick up lettuce + chicken on my way home.. he just didn't realize that he could have chopped other veggies + all that kind of jazz.. It was just funny to find these items on the counter]

Kicking it old school!!

I REALLY wanted dessert —but we didn’t have any laying around so I made some!!

ONE TWO THREE [FOUR FIVE] PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES!!!!

INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Mix egg + sugar
  • Add PB + Vanilla + Salt
  • Mix more
  • Plop in 1 inch balls
  • Bake 9-11 minutes

I bake my cookies for 9 minutes so they stay extra gooey + chewy!!

Also,I only used 1/2 of the batter + popped the other half in the fridge for another day

Total yield – 12 delicious cookies.

Please don’t call the SPCA.

Penny slipped + fell on a few furniture pads + they stuck to the bottoms of her feet!!

Weird!!

IMG_4923.JPG

What was supposed to be funny quickly turned to tragedy when the pads did not want to come off of her sweet little feet!!

As a kid I placed gum in my hair on multiple occasions —So I knew that olive oil or peanut butter would do the trick.

IMG_4927.JPG

Good news is Penny totally survived.

I rubbed the olive oil into her paws so it was like a little PUPPY PEDICURE.

AND she got to go face first in the cookie jar!!

Much Love!!

You’re so sweet being doctor mom for penny.
at least the pickled things are on the counter and not mixed in a salad so you don’t have to put them on right? the cookies look great though, and I am going to look for ‘sushi’vinegar next time I’m at the store- I’ve never heard of it

Hey there,I was reading your article and I just wanted to say thank you for putting out such great content. There’s so much crap on the internet these days its difficult to find anything worthwhile. I actually have cooked this recipe before,I got this book last month on recommendation from a friend http://ninjahq.com/go/cookingrecipes and it turned out very nice! I’m very eager to try your variation of it though,it looks fantastic. I think you might enjoy those recipes, they’re very good. Thanks for the article and tips.
