Let’s talk about food for 3 seconds before I just give you guys a random picture slide show of the rest of my SPRING BREAK–
This little guy from TJs is D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.
Perfect food to keep in the freezer for lazy night occasions.

On route to the NEW RIVER GORGE in WEST VIRGINIA —-
Penny drinks water like the humans in the front of the car.

She finds GROSS STUFF + rolls around in it in the woods —Unlike the humans.

GET IT GIRRRRRRL!!

Nice + Crusty + Gross.

We arrived at TATTOO WALL in the SANDSTONIA area of BUBBA CITY –@ the NEW for a little SPORT CLIMBING

Eric eyed up the 5.7 sport route he was about to lead
He ran the whole route —except for building the anchor —So I scurried up after him + built MY FIRST ANCHOR!!!!
I am UBER NEW to sport climbing —so this was really really exciting for me —Climbing above the last clip in and leashing myself to a rap ring to build an anchor —EXHILARATING!!
This is a photo of us right after I came off of the rock!! WIDE SMILE!!

Penny REFUSES to watch us climb —I think it scares her!

E gave the ground a little blow session —to get the FIRE started
[I just think this picture is funny-- and I would like to put another caption with it -- but this is a family friendly blog]

PENELOPE!!

CAMP –

CAMPERS –

We stayed at the Mountain State Campground —Totally way expensive for what is there —But the Rafting market at the New encourages jacked up camping rates + it is something that you just have to accept if you want to camp + climb the AWESOME ROCK – totally worth it to us —but next time [THIS WEEKEND!!] we’re going to check out Rifrafters Campground per recommendations of a friend.

Hungry kids in the morning eat at BOB EVANS!!
It was a first for the both of us–

Intimidating.

Deer in the camera lights.

I ordered off of the “light menu”
HAHAHAH —A huge piece of french toast + multiple eggs + 2 pieces of sausage is NOT LIGHT!!

Penny did a very dog like thing + helped herself to the water in the cooler

I really like making dried cherry + yogurt pretzel sandwiches.
Aldi’s has the BEST dried cherries in the world.

Penny cleaned her yogurt container like a good little monster.

I gave her a treat + let her eat her dog food out of a SPAGHETTI SQUASH BOWL —
WORST IDEA EVER.
She ate the WHOLE THING – rind + all.
I’ve spent the last 12 hours cleaning up paper thin pieces of squash rind in piles of vomit —YUMMY!!

On that note —
Cheers!!
B+B

Camping looked like so much fun! Isn’t it hilarious how dogs will randomly roll around on the ground?! Pets are too funny!
You guys are too cute. I love reading about your adventures.

K
congrats on setting your first anchor!!!!! are there any bolts on those routes for setting your draws? i can’t tell from the pic. if not,way to be uber hard core! i’m just getting past not crying when i have to traverse walls to finish a route. way indimidated at leading outdoors for the first time. i just started leading in feb. in the gym.
take any good whippers yet?
i’m still terrified. i like to burn my arms out with death grip one arm pull ups when i slip rather than doing the sensible thing and safely faling! ha.
how long have you been climbing in general?
p.s. i almost died the first time i saw this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viy9pWTGNys. go,dan osman,go!
Your climbing trip looks like it was SO much fun and you two look SO happy, which makes ME happy
Great camping photos and exciting about the rock. Wish we could have been there!!
LOL about Penny and the spaghet squash…
Surprising that the pizza is so good because when I saw it this weekend,I passed on it because I didn’t think the picture on the box looked all that great. Damn, now I’m wishing I wouldn’t have judged the book by its cover!
What an incredible trip. I am so jealous of how adorable and happy you guys look!
Just makes me smile from ear to ear.
<3 you girl!
How awesome! Thanks for sharing your cool adventures!!
I totally understand nothing about your climbing lingo
But that’s okay, still sounds like you had a fun camping trip.
oh,and one more just ’cause:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_50pHrs_so
not so much for the insance crack climbing skills, but for the ride his belayer takes. this is why you always anchor the belayer!
I think camping is quite possibly one of the best relationships tests between two people. LOVE it!!!
Can you believe they used to let me climb some sketchy terrain as a young being? Yeah,me neither
Did you see any unicorns?
BE WELL!!!!!
Awwwwwww –such amazing pics,girl!
Seems like you´ve had a BLAST
Have a great week!
Brazilian XOXO´s,
Gabriela

You’re a riot! LUV your Blog!
It’s so fun to let your pup get nice and dirty sometimes. The aftermath isn’t very pleasant, but they’re just so happy doing it –it makes me smile. Like letting my daschund off his leash in a state forest so he can run through mud puddles up to his belly.
I’ve also learned a similar lesson to your spaghetti squash story –dogs shouldn’t be given corn cobs either.
i loved this blog….fun to see what you and Eric are doing!!! glad you had so much fun!! love the coffee faces behind the mugs!! miss you guys!! xo
Your posts always make me happy. You are actually a child of SUNSHINE!
ps:AWESOMEEEEE new song —http://www.biggreenbeats.com/?p=2977
pps:LoVE yooooo FACE!
You should come to the Gorge for Bridge Day in the fall. It has awesomely bad fair food (i.e.,fried EVERYTHING) and people base jump off the bridge! It’s nuts.
Thanks, thats quite useful to know! I must admit I’m a bit useless in the kitchen, but I’m trying my best to learn. Admitting iis the first step right!? I promised to cook something for my wife this weekend for the first time –very exciting! I found some really simple recipes at this website, seems to be designed exactly with people like me in mind, which is fantastic! Anyway, thanks,I’ll be sure to bookmark this site to read more later.
When one conceives the issue at hand,i’ve to agree along with your finishes. You distinctly show cognition about this subject and i’ve much to discover following reading your post.Quite a few salutations and i will come back for any additional updates.
