I wasn’t the best about carrying around my camera so I will be inserting a few stock photos here + there –
We climbed this puppy –
CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN – [photo borrowed from dbphotos.com -- THANK YOU dbphotos]
- 2.32 total miles [1.16 miles each way]
- 1,300 ft elevation gain [in 1.16 miles]
- approx 2 hours at a family friendly pace
I hhhhhhighly recommend this hike for anyone in sunny Scottsdale,AZ!!!!!
The view from the top was AMAAAAZING!!!!

I so so so so so wanted to check out all of your fabulous recommendations while in AZ —but we traveled in a family pack + had lots and lots of plans so all of your recommendations have been put on hold for next time!!
Dinner at GRAZIE was awesome.
It was quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had + the bartender picked out an aaaaamazing dry red to accompany my meal.

- pepperoni
- fancy schmancy parmesan
- crushed tomato red sauce
- RICOTTA!!!!

Monday we headed to QUEEN CREEK for a little SPORT CLIMBING

BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY

Eric ascending a 5.8 at the Lower Pond area of Queen Creek –

Me —Lead belaying for the first time in my life –
Super easy.

Eric’s dad gave rock climbing a shot —He’s a natural!!

Glen made bud light commercials instead of climbing.

Kelsey climbing time!!

The area was GORGEOUS!!

Approximately 30 seconds after this photograph was taken I stepped on a massive amount of dead cactus + had to be carried out!!
STAY ON THE TRAILS WHEN CACTI ARE PRESENT!!!!!!!

Do you see anything between the 2 cacti on the mountain?

What about now??

How about now??!!
[I love my camera!!]

We relaxed with our feet in the water after a nice little trail hike somewhere in the AZ desert!

So many more fun things happened during this trip —but I was the QUEEN of forgetting my camera.
I did however snap this great shot of melt away mints that I purchased in the Dallas Airport!!

More adventure photos to come from WEST VIRGINIA!!
Cheers!
