Here FISHY FISHY!!

On the other night’s menu –HALIBUT STEAK

Sir Eric requested RICE PILAF– I love that TJs pretty much has at least ONE of EVERYTHING!!

The box had 6 servings in it — So I decided to HALVE IT before I made it — So I wouldn’t waste or eat a ton of it!!

I amended the directions — If I didn’t I KNOW I would forget that I was only supposed to use 1/2 of what it said!!

The STAR SPICES in our house

All of the STAR SPICES + Extra Virgin Olive Oil [EVOO] went on homemade breadcrumbs

NO I did NOT drink WINE out of a BOWL..

I MARINATED halibut bites in 1/2 white wine + 1/2 water for 30 minutes

Instead I drank this LITTLE GEM from TJs

• dry + delicious
• similar to a marlborough sav blanc –
• only not as fruit forward
• TOTALLY AMAZING BARGAIN

The fish got sauced after it went on a WHITE WINE BOOZE BINGE

• 2 T EVOO
• 1 T Lemon Juice
• 1 T Butter spread [I used earth balance]
  
• 2 T parmesan cheese
• STAR SPICES to taste

  

• Then breaded in the lovely homemade breadcrumbs — I used TJs focaccia bread
• Then baked at 400* for 12 to 15 minutes

The veggie of the day was ROASTED BROCCOLI + BRUSSELS!!

• toss in EVOO
• toss in balsamic
• add a little salt + pepper
• bake for 20 min at 400* turning once

The brussels need to cook a little longer than the broccoli — watch out!!

Who wants to come over for dinner???
