Everything I ate today was not very pretty. Pretty healthy, but not pretty – So there is only ONE picture.
PURPLE SLAW
- purple cabbage
- dab of mayo
- splashes of seasoned rice wine vinegar
Most slaws have mayonnaise. Eric HATES mayonnaise.
There was mayonnaise in the slaw that ASHLEY + I served at the 24, 24, 24 — but I neglected to list mayo as an ingredient at a decibel that humans can hear when describing the dish because I really wanted EVERYONE to try EVERYTHING.
Being the FIVE YEAR OLD that I am — The other night I decided to say “Hahahahaha — I got you to eat mayonnaise!!!!!!”
That was followed by — “Oh yeah. Well you’re going to eat IAMS. I’m going to feed you something this weekend and you’re going to say ‘mmmmm that was good’ and then I’m going to tell you that it had cat food in it.”
I think I’ll be doing ALL of the cooking this weekend!!

As a mayo dis-liker myself, I finally broke the cycle of hatred when trying Ojai Lemonnaise. So darn good! (Or making my own. But when I make my own mayo, I have a habit of eating the entire batch myself… and that’s not quite healthy.)
