WEEKEND RECAP!!

I would have had this post to you YESTERDAY but something happened. Something that is explained in the KELSEY EQUATION below

[2 people + 2 laptops + 2 identical laptop chargers] –[1 person + 1 laptop + 2 laptop chargers] = KELSEY HOME ALONE WITH A DEAD COMPUTER

Luckily ERIC is synonymous with AWESOME + super overnighted the charger + I’m bbbbbbaaaaaaaack!!

——————————————————————————————————–

TJs hasn’t had my favorite snack in FOREVER!! —I was SO HAPPY when I found them on TJs shelves on Friday!!

IMG_2624.JPG

Seeing as I was a TERRIBLE mother to my DOGGHTER last week + shaved her even when I knew a winter storm was brewing because she was SHEDDING TOO MUCH!! So I let her wear my clothes over the weekend!

Isn’t she FOXY?!

Oh FRIDAY what a great day to drink some beer + study some MICROBIO

IMG_2641.JPG

And the SNOW began!!

IMG_2646.JPG

This wine = Meeeeeh.

I need some good wine in my life!! Any Recommendations for a girl who loves dry reds + sav blancs?? —Kim Crawford is my go to SB.

We tested out the NEW TJS TACO SHELLS + SEASONING.

IMG_2614.JPG

Hott ddddamn they were good.

Hands down best taco seasoning I have ever had.

SPICY + simply delicious.

NO PUDGE FUDGE – this has always been a FAVORITE of mine that I revived this weekend.

I LOVE that you can EASILY make SINGLE SERVING BROWNIES so you don’t have a whole tray of brownies sitting around your house + that the ingredients are REAL.

The entire process literally takes less than 2 minutes + these guys are DELICIOUS. They don’t taste like a “healthy brownie”at all. Just plain WARM YUMMY GOODNESS.

Just add VANILLA YOGURT!! [or many other options-- but vanilla yo is my personal FAVORITE]

IMG_2653.JPG

We awoke to a blanket of ICE that looked very similar to SNOW!!

IMG_2656.JPG

Snow doesn’t happen very often in Charlotte —So we went out walking for a few miles so the pup could get her SNOW PLAY ON!!

FROZEN FACES!!

IMG_2660.JPG

We came home + continued the theme of COLD–

BERRY DELICIOUS SMOOTHIES!!

  • let me go ahead and clarify that I have NO IDEA the measurements on the following ingredients —my brain was FROZEN when I made them!!
  • a lot of frozen blueberries —picked by my MOM!
  • 2 kiwi —skin + all
  • 6 mandarin oranges —peeled
  • 2 small bananas
  • splashes of OJ
  • spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt
  • sprinkles of flax seeds
  • sprinkles of chia seeds

HOLY PERFECT FROZENNESS!!

IMG_2664.JPG

Then we hit up STRIKE CITY at the EPI CENTER uptown to get our BOWL ON!!

Meet Rocco —Professional bowler [not really, but kind of].

IMG_2672.JPG

I may or may not have been double fisting FAT TIRE + a BLOODY MARY

IMG_2685.JPG

FAST FORWARD to breakfast on Sunday –

The most perfect smoothie ever.

  • Peaches —also picked by my mom
  • a lot of Mandarin Oranges —peeled
  • a splash of oh so delicious glass bottled milk
  • splashes of OJ

IMG_2697.JPG

I am going to try to recreate this smoothie right now.

LOVE!

I have seen those brownies around and have always wondered about them. Do you think they taste like a healthy brownie or like a regular brownie? Whenever I pick up these “faux”brownies like vitabrownies, for example…I always end up disappointed because it doesn’t taste like a brownie.

Your dogghter is adorable!! I grew up having a dog and I miss it terribly. My husband is allergic :(

My favourite Sauv Blanc is Highfield. Main Divide is good too. Pretty much everything from Marlbourough rocks house.

Dry reds is a little harder to recommend but I might suggest something from Northern Italy –Barolo,Piemonte, etc. tend to be higher in tannins and quite dry.

I tasted a bottle of Tabali Pinot Noir yesterday that was quite good. Another surprisingly good find recently was Firesteed Pinot from Oregon. I guess I just like Pinot ;)
