VaCa day 6–Hiking in BC
Even without “camping reservations”(refer to THIS POST if you do not get this j-o-k-e) we snagged a parking spot –which generally ensures a campsite–+ headed UP UP UP 5.5 miles of 97.8% switch backs with an elevation gain of 3020 feet to Garibaldi lake.
We accomplished the gorgey task in a little under 3 hours–including a little side stepping to take in some views!!
I only saw one of these flowers the whole trip–but I fell in love with it!! SO. GORGEY.

These little guys were all over the place.

So were these BIG guys. EVERYWHERE. I mean EVERYWHERE.
If you weren’t in the tent or booking it you were being gnawed alive.

Random views from the hike up–

After hours on the trail filled with baby waterfalls + gorgey lakes we arrived at GARIBALDI LAKE!!

A view from the arrival cove of the lake–full of trout!!

B-L-U-E WATER!!

Cloudy day–still absolutely breath taking awayly GORGEOUS!!

I like random plant like things.

The most beautiful lunch I’ve ever had–scenery that is.

This BIRD seriously was a TRAINED KILLER.
He flew directly at my face (mm away from my nose) “asking for food”–He freaked me out–So I threw some bread at him and fled the scene!!

The mosquitos were very vampire like + would drain you of your entire blood supply if you weren’t in a sheltered area–So we took a little snoozer in the tent.

View from my nap!!

We woke up at 4 with an itch to to exploring which lead us to ——- the next post!!
Cheers!!

You need to put a book together of all these images…they’re just too beautiful!
BEYOND gorgeous location!!
Lovely hike. I am so envious.
WOW! What gorgeous views. That blue water is amazing and I’m totally in love with that orange flower. So pretty!
AMAZING VIEWS. So stunning! I would have wanted to jump right in that blue water!
No kidding! Beautiful pictures! Love the flower and the shot of the water with the cedar in the foreground!
I want to go there! Beautiful photos!
I’m so glad you went up to Garbaldi Lake. It is beyond beautiful up there, with that blue glacier fed water and all. Love! I just realized I haven’t been up there since I was like,14 or 15! Lame. I will have to convince someone to hike up there with me again, this time with a camera.
