I’m not really into weight loss–just more of a fit + healthy lifestyle kind of gal–BUT I’ve had a couple of extra lbs I’ve wanted to kick –cough-booze belly-cough– for a while –cough-cough-since I started college-cough-cough– and I’ve decided now is the time.
I do not count calories. I am not going to count calories. I do not go to the gym. I am not going to start going to the gym. I do not own a scale. I am not going to buy a scale.
So–How am I going to do it? + How am I going to know when it is done?
Simple–I am going to eat smaller meals off of smaller plates + the mirror will tell me when I am done.
Ultimate goal–To look like I do when I wake up (now) when I go to sleep (later).
BREAKFAST–
3/4 C Kashi go lean + Almond milk–

Basically this means that you won’t see me making french toast for breakfast every morning —I still plan on eating life to the fullest —just in smaller portions.
Thinking about it–this new way of eating may never end. Once I’m happier with the smaller portions–why would I go back??
We shall see!!
Cheers!
B+B

I’m right there with you about adding a little extra love to my body! Only difference is I am a huge gym rat! Good luck!
I hear you girl!
Good morning Ms Kelsey. Yes,my wedding pics (both honeymoon and wedding post) are available if you go to April 2009. http://eatmovewrite.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
You have to log in to shutterfly to see all the wedding pics. (It’s worth it. My photog was amazing.) The password and everything is on the post.
I love the pic at the top of your blog. So cute.
i think you should add up a “normal”day of yours (without the beer
) just to see what it is.
with all your yoga,it actually looks pretty light to me some days, but smaller plates is always a good idea to watch portions.
I like the sounds of this –maybe I’ll give it a try too. I could have written these exact same words!
Fantastic and healthy appraoch!!! I think calorie couting is really rather dangerous for alot of people, puts too much focus/stress on food.
I understand the love of beer,I think it is heaven in a bottle/glass.
Good luck, girlie!! Sounds like a good plan
I love eating off of small plates. Big plates freak me out!!
GOOD LUCK
small plates are cuter,anyway
Sounds like a great plan!
Just losing some of the beer will do it. I think you eat supa healthy as it is! GL tho.
Love the ultimate goal
Heyy! I know everyone knows their bodies best, but from what I see you look awesome and healthy, but you know yourself best and yadayada hehe. It seems like you’re going into it with a good mindset which is key. Good luck,Kelsey!!
So I’m not sure what’s wrong with my e-mail,but I’ve been trying to send you music since yesterday:\
Umm.. I would try to hang out with donut man more often too. You guys can always be friends!!! The dipping sauces are an awesome idea too.
I’m with Katharina…YOU should do what’s best for YOU,just want you to know I think you look awesome the way you are.
Although I’m certain you don’t need to,it sounds like you have the right way of going about the healthier lifestyle. Never deprive yourself and never go all diet/scale-crazy! It’s how YOU feel that counts. Keep up that yoga too…that’s always a big boost in mental AND physical exercise!
Even though I think that in no way do you need to loose an a couble of lbs (you are totally gorgeous now!!) I love your approach. I only wish more girls would be as stable and beautifully confident as you are. It’s truly admirable and I wanted to commend you for staying true to your love of eats and life in your attempts.
Way to go Kelsey!
