BIG NEWS.. for me at least!!

This is BY FAR the UGLIEST peep massacre yet– Toasted peep mixed with a toasted Ferrero Rocher Hazelnut Chocolate.. It tasted pretty good– but nothing I would do again..

I had no appetite- therefore no idea what to make for dinner.. So I went a little adventurous and okra crazy–

First I made one of my most favorite summer side items!! PAN FRIED OKRA

Chopped okra + peppers..

Mixed with regular cornmeal + salt + peppers..

IMG_4571.JPG

Tossed + excess cornmeal removed..

Put in a pan that has been heated to a good medium with a T or 2 of oil— I used olive..

Stirring occasionally.. Approximately ten minutes later you’ll have heaven..

a super small glass of wine.. I just felt the desire to..

I went crazy adventurous with the okra + pan grilled this to turn into a sandwich– Not recommended.

Not bad– just not great.. I mean– the okra tasted great + the melted horsey cheese on the sourdough that Matt + Kath gave me was great.. but just not the combo– TEXTURE FAILURE!!

A side of my brother’s salsa just for fun– SO GOOD. I put in all over my dinner.

Okay here is my BIG NEWS

PENNY IS MOVING TO CHARLOTTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My aunt has been the greatest person in the world + allowed me to live with her for the past year while I’ve been in school non stop. I am so grateful for her generosity, but I reeeeeeaaaaallllyyyy need penny back in my life– and unfortunately my aunt is allergic to dogs.

So– as soon as I get back from my BC trip I’m moving out + In with a super stellar yogi in my favorite neighborhood.. The house is full of vibrant + beautiful colors + filled with original artwork + the neighborhood is pretty hipsterish– think the Williamsburg of Charlotte + walking distance from my NEW JOB + YOGA + a grocery + all of my favorite bars.. So it will be big city living for B+B

Even better news I really enjoyed meeting my new roommate– we seem to have similar taste in music (that for sure doesn’t happen everyday) + decorating style + lifestyle.. AND she plans on getting a cat soon– Penny LOVES cats.

So in the past week I’ve gotten a new job + a new house + a ton more things that I choose not to blog about..

It’s been an insane week.. good + bad + very dynamic. The moment my life is static is the moment that I die.

OXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
