Let’s start from the begining –

Penny makes a new friend!!

Layla + Penny chased squirrels + ruled the roost while Peg + I met friends for lunch.. more friends I realized I haven’t seen in over 2 years.. I guess this scenario is totally normal–especially when no one lives in Columbia anymore..

I had a ROOT BEER!! I haven’t had one ever- well maybe when I was little + I was convinced I didn’t like them —TOTAL LIE. I LOVED IT.

Veggie Pita wrap with brie + pasta.. delish!!

Then time to get my tires rotated–wooohooo!!

Penny + I dropped the car off + hit the road..

We were under a mile away from my U grad campus–so we trotted over + got a nice 3 mile walk in–

Penny goes to College!! GO GAMECOCKS!!

Max + Penny go to the CONGAREE!!

My view for 2 hours..

I knew we had 7 miles ahead of us —so rigged up the leashes where they could pull me!!

Views from the swamp —I had the whole place to myself!!

WORST idea EVER.

At around mile 3 I heard thunder —BUT I checked the weather before I left + it said I was in the clear.. so I moseyed along..

Oh around mile 4 more thunder.. louder thunder..

Mile 4.5 (2.5 miles away from the visitors center.. 3 miles away from the car) —FFF!!! RUN!!!

Max isn’t quite the marathon runner .. so I dropped the leashes + let Penny drag him along..

We made it to the visitor’s center at 4:58 —it closes at 5:00.. + picked up a few plastic bags to protect the camera for the last leg of the trip to the car..

I was a HOTT MESS!!

OH the back seats.. I predict a trip to the car wash on Wednesday!!

The puparooooS were given a nice little scrub down once we arrived at base camp.. So fresh + So clean clean!!

On the way over to Lauren’s house I saw a sky treat–a rainbow!!

Meet Fingernails.. I mean —err–Zoie..

Lauren moved out of our house together in college because I got Penny + now she has this CRAZY dog!!

karma karma karma!!

I loved Zoie + can’t wait to play with her again.. Perhaps I’ll schedule Penny a play date!!

I sipped on this —until someone (with fur) spilled it all over the couch!!

I stopped by a local favorite on the way home –

warm + cold + sweet + salty + nutty + OH SO delicious!!

And a “basket”—I no longer eat the hamburgers —but I still love the fries + slaw!!

I was greeted by these little guys when I came home!!

After “dinner”I went for an old man drink —delicious.

One small cube of ice..

I actually wasn’t in the mood for the ice + removed it + replaced it with a splash of room temp water. Perfect.

CUPCAKE DRAMA!!

I’ll explain tomorrow.. it is waaaaaaaYY late + I have to get up waaaaaaaYY early!!
